A. Yes, Sewroo ironing board covers are safe to be washed in a washing machine.

Q. Will a Sewroo ironing board cover fit a wider ironing board?
A. A standard size cover will fit boards up to 38cm wide, a large size cover will fit wider boards up to 45cm across.

Q. How do I measure my ironing board?
A. Measurements quoted allow for the overhang. So, measure just the flat surface of your ironing board without your current cover on it. For length from nose to wide end, for width from side to side at the widest part.

Q. My ironing board cover has gone flat, is this normal?
A. Yes, this is normal. After time and use your cover will lose some of the ‘sponginess’ in the Dacron however it will still provide a flat and even ironing surface.

Q. I use starches when I iron, how should I care for my cover?
A. To get the best life from your Sewroo ironing board cover, if you use starches we recommend that you regularly wash your cover to reduce starch build up. Starches will make the cotton on the cover brittle and over time this will increase the likelihood of the cover tearing.

Q. I place my iron face down on my cover when ironing. Will this affect the life of my cover?
A. Yes. Try to avoid placing your iron down for extended periods of time on the same part of the cover as exposing the cover to unnecessary heat for prolonged periods will cause premature wear and tear. We sell iron mats that help to solve this problem. If you like to place your iron face down, you can place your iron face down on the mat and it will protect your iron and your cover.

Q. The original side of my ironing board cover is worn out, is it time to replace my cover?
A. Remember that Sewroo ironing board covers are reversible, so once the first side is looking a little tired, simply take the cover off and turn it to the reverse side!
