Our very own Leeanne Schultz (owner) has set herself the task of running the Virgin London Marathon in April next year and raising in excess of $10,000 for the Heart Foundation.
She has decided to make a difference – not only in her life, but also in the lives of people who really need it. She is on a mission to help improve the heart health of Australians. Considering that cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in Australia it’s a huge mission!
Her goal is to run the Virgin London Marathon and raise $10,000 for the Heart Foundation by 17April 2011.
So what does all of this mean for Leeanne? Well, a typical day for her starts with her alarm going off at 3.30am, then off to training for a 5.00am start. Training varies from boot camp on the beach, to Raw Boxing and personal training sessions. I follow this with a 5km run. She am then free to go about my normal routine. Leeanne then finish off the day with a 10km run. Leading to the big event she will be adding longer runs into the mix, building all the way up to 35km. She says that it is a big commitment, but for such a worthy cause it’s worth it.
The good news for you? You can do away with the early mornings and grueling training sessions and offer financial support to this worthy cause!
Her aim is to raise $10,000 over the next 5 months. This money will be used by the heart foundation to improve the heart health of all Australians.
